Not as many profound quotes as most would be led to believe.

Neon Genesis Evangelion , in my own humble opinion, is the work of a deranged Hideaki Anno. There are plenty of \"deep\" quotes but not many that I believe in, not many that make any sense to me.

If I could watch the entire show again, I would and scour for some pretty good ones. If I could. The show\'s animation hasn\'t aged well, even with the recent remastered versions. Even if it were in 1080p bluray, the production values toward the end were pretty poor. There were just so many cheap attempts at making the show look \"deep\" and \"surreal\" that it actually betrayed the show\'s lack of financial support. I don\'t know if I could watch it again. I could think of plenty of better things to do. Like watch Gurren Lagann.

And besides, watching NGE is like listening to Nirvana\'s \"Where did you sleep last night\" on a day when your lover leaves you for some piece of garbage, while it rains heavily outside. It\'s hell of a lot depressing. It desaturates rainbows. For me, at least.

So all the words and quotes you see there are taken from the top of my head or pulled straight from my ass. The Rebuild of Evangelion is great and I love it, but it\'s known for the action and not for its dialogue. And Rei Ayanami wasn\'t even all that talkative to begin with. I think there were even manga chapters where she barely even farted.

Most importantly, single phrases are much more maneuverable than long, deep quotes. and it\'s not a newspaper or a book but a wallpaper. I wanted words which are instantly recognizable and not long quotes.

If you do get around to watching the show and find some excellent quotes, feel free to hit me. Just give me a heads up before you shoot me for my lethargy. :)
